I have worked for over thirty years as an information and communications professional. For the last twenty-six years, I ran the information and publication center for a world-renowned research institute at a major US university. In addition to running the institute’s library and providing a full range of research services, I edited technical reports and contract proposals; built and maintained websites; provided writing, editing, and copyright consultation for researchers; and wrote copy for a variety of promotional and outreach materials, including websites and intranets. I have also worked as a research librarian for a large, multinational chemical corporation.

Outside of librarianship, I have written magazine articles and self-published two books on music.

I have a bachelor’s degree in English from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in library and information studies from the University of Michigan.
